As part of the Assembly Elections scheduled for 2026, the Election Department of Kerala, under the leadership of the Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala, has called for a Special Intensive Revision (SIR). In line with this, the District Administration of Calicut issued guidelines to observe SIR Day on 17-11-2025 to ensure 100% SIR registration among new voters.

The Electoral Literacy Club of ZGC, with the assistance of the National Service Scheme, conducted an awareness campaign, flash mob, Democracy Wall, and a video presentation on the importance of SIR. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Mohanapriya IAS, Assistant Collector and District SVEEP Cell Coordinator. Principal Dr. Rajani B presided over the function, and Programme Officer Dr. Meera P. I. proposed the vote of thanks.
